
Eric Tema is a partner in The MacNaughton Group. In addition to his ongoing real estate responsibilities at The MacNaughton Group, Mr. Tema is responsible for finding and negotiating all of the Hawaii sites for Starbucks Coffee and Jamba Juice.
Mr. Tema joined The MacNaughton Group in 1993 after three years with CB Commercial Hawaii. During his three years at CB, he assisted in numerous retail leasing projects in addition to being the Team Captain of Leasing for Waikele Center, a 725,000 square foot value center in Central Oahu.
In 1999, Mr. Tema played a key role in the redevelopment of a prime corner location in Kailua. The project, Kailua Village Shops, a 10,000 square foot community-based food and specialty retail center, was awarded "Project of the Year" by the Hawaii Chapter of NAIOP.
Mr. Tema is a commercial real estate broker and has directed the Hawaii entry and expansion for a number of major retailers, including Kmart, Pier One Imports, Borders Books Music Cafe, The Sports Authority, OfficeMax, Brew Moon, Computer City, and Lowe's Home Improvement.
Mr. Tema was raised in Hawaii, graduated from Punahou School in Honolulu, and in 1990 received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado.
